Posted in Local NewsThe children of the Awo day-care center “Flohkiste” in the container facility on Wilhelm-Bläser-Strasse are well received.Photos: Christoph Volkmer for KamenWeb.deCame.The Awo day-care center "Flohkiste" will soon be rebuilt.After a successful move, the children and teachers have been at home in their temporary modular day care center for a few weeks now.On Saturday, the facility opened its doors to anyone interested as part of a summer party.Instead of staying in the shadow of the old community center on the nurses' aisle, the 100 children have been in the converted containers on Wilhelm-Bläser-Straße since the beginning of May, where many of them will continue to grow and learn for the next two years or so."When the children noticed that there were lots of horses to see right next door, they were of course enthusiastic," says facility manager Nicole Sturzenhecker, recalling the children's first impressions after the move.As is well known, the Kamen riding club is located right next door.Five groups are housed in the rows of containers on the urban area, for which the word container system is actually inappropriate.Because whoever enters the now almost completely furnished areas does not think they are in a large container for storing and transporting goods, but in a lively living space.Children from four months up to the age of six are cared for in the "Flohkiste".The day care center had to move to Hemsack so that a new building could be built in the same place as the nurses' aisle.The new building became necessary because part of the facility had to be demolished due to deficiencies in the subsoil.There is significantly more space at the new location than before - inside and out.The many visitors who spread out on the outdoor area benefited from this on the day of the action."We not only invited current and future children with their families, but also neighbors and network partners - many of them came," said the deputy head of the facility, Larissa Scheibel, about the great response.During the tour of the interior, the guests were particularly impressed by the light-flooded rooms."We are delighted and happy that not only do we and the children really like it, but also the parents," says Nicole Sturzenhecker.There was also praise for the parents and their participation in the many stands."We have very reliable parents, without whom a festival of this magnitude would not be possible," said the daycare manager.It won't be long until the next celebration in the facility, because next Friday the children, who will be going to primary school after the summer holidays, will be saying goodbye with a celebration.Facility manager Nicole Sturzenhecker and her deputy Larissa Scheibel (right) were delighted with the very good response to the day of action on Saturday.Archive: The "Flohkiste" daycare center is reimbursed for the costs of "Bau-Exile" in the HemsackCopyright © 2022 KamenWeb.de - WebComArt.de - Imprint - Privacy Policy
