In the latest issue of DC Comics' Dark Knights of Steel, Batman teams up with an epic dragon to save the medieval version of the Teen Titans.

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Dark Knights of Steel #7

In the latest issue of Dark Knights of Steel, the realm's knight in shining armor Batman has a legendary team-up with DC's secret dragon. Set in an alternate medieval universe with kingdoms on the brink of war, Batman meets the Teen Titans who have been marked for death. As a result, the Dark Knight ends up fighting a truly demonic version of Ra's al Ghul when he encounters a dragon of myth and legend. However, this is by no means a dragon to be slain by the Dark Knight.

In previous issues of Dark Knights of Steel from Tom Taylor and Yasmine Putri, it's been revealed that Bruce Wayne's true father is none other than Jor-El, making him the secret half-brother to Prince Kal-El. While Bruce had been serving the House of El as their Dark Knight since the deaths of his parents King Thomas and Queen Martha (the realm's previous rulers), Batman is now the heir of both great families. He's also begun to develop Kryptonian powers of his own. Meanwhile, something dark and strange has been happening to both Kal-El and his sister Zala, resulting in the medieval Superman attempting to kill his half-brother. However, Bruce was ultimately saved by Jon and Martha Kent.

Now, the new Dark Knights of Steel #7 reveals that the Kents have also been protecting the Teen Titans who helped save Batman's life. However, the dark Ra's al Ghul/Etrigan the Demon hybrid soon arrives with the League of Shades. Seeking the Titans for his own purposes, the demon-bonded al Ghul demands that Batman and the Kents hand the Titans over. Instead, Batman and the Titans team up to battle the League and this includes Beast Boy. While he had been taking the form of a green dog, Beast Boy quickly proves he can be much more by transforming into a literal fire-breathing dragon.

Because Beast Boy can turn into any animal he's ever seen, his ability to become a massive dragon confirms the creature's actual existence in this alternate medieval reality. As such, it certainly seems as though Batman is more than happy to have the backup, grateful that this particular green-scaled dragon is on his side. While Beast Boy becoming a dragon is very on-brand given the series' overall theming, teaming up with Batman who's a literal knight in shining armor is just icing on the cake, instantly becoming one of the most epic moments in the series so far.

By the issue's end, Ra's al Ghul and his League were forced to retreat, leaving Batman to decide what his next move should be with the House of El preparing to go to war with the Amazons and Kingdom of Storms. While he's certainly been going through a lot with the discovery of his true parentage and the incredible powers that come with it, Batman's new alliance with the Titans will likely be a big help as Dark Knights of Steel continues. After all, who wouldn't want a legendary dragon on their side?
